Navy All-American Bowl Recap

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (1/10/2026) — The 2026 All-American Bowl in San Antonio brought together many of the top high school football players in the country for one of the biggest all-star showcases of the year. Held at the Alamodome, the game featured Team East vs. Team West, with rosters stacked full of elite recruits and future Division I athletes. Leading up to kickoff, players participated in practices and media events that highlighted their skills and helped build chemistry with new teammates. The atmosphere surrounding the event was intense but also celebratory, as it marked the final high school appearance for many of the athletes. College coaches and scouts closely watched every moment of the week.

From the start of the game, both teams came out with energy and confidence, showing why they were selected for the event. The East and West squads traded early possessions as defenses adjusted to the fast-paced style of play. Big hits and competitive drives set the tone for a physical matchup despite it being an all-star game. Quarterbacks on both sides made several strong throws, while receivers showcased their athleticism in open space. The first half remained tightly contested with neither team able to fully pull away.

As the game progressed into the second half, momentum continued to swing back and forth. Both defenses stepped up with key stops in the red zone, forcing field goals and turnovers on downs that kept the score close. Explosive plays began to define the game, including deep passes and broken tackles that energized both sidelines. The West managed to stay within reach, answering East scoring drives with points of their own. Heading into the final quarter, the game was still very much up for grabs.

In the fourth quarter, the East offense found just enough rhythm to gain a slight edge. A critical scoring drive helped them take the lead late, while the defense made a few game-changing stops to hold off the West. The West continued to fight back and had chances to respond, but the East’s defense tightened at the right moment. Special teams also played a role in controlling field position during the closing minutes. Every possession became more important as the clock wound down.

Ultimately, the East defeated the West 17–14 in a tightly contested finish. The MVP of the game was Luke Wafle, a USC commit, who delivered a standout performance on the defensive side of the ball. His impact plays helped swing momentum in key moments and made a major difference in the outcome. The 2026 All-American Bowl once again showcased the nation’s top talent, with a competitive game that came down to the final possessions and highlighted several future college football stars.
